I am so glad you are here! My name is Rebecca Brown and I am a LCSW licensed to practice in Utah, Colorado and Arizona. I offer counseling and coaching to individuals, families, couples and groups. My specialty areas of focus in therapy have been relationships, loss of a child, grief and loss, women's issues, adoption-related issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, obesity, bariatric surgery assessment, weight loss, self-image, self-esteem and body image and the working with the LGBTQIA community. I am a licensed clinical child psychologist specializing in utilizing state of the art assessment and therapy techniques to detect and treat learning disabilities, ADHD, and other emotional/personality issues which may hinder a child's learning experience. In addition, our clinic performs infant developmental testing and kindergarten readiness evaluations. As a parent of five children, I understand the many issues that we face on a daily basis with our children and I strive to assist parents with finding answers to problems facing their family system.

My education, training, and experience includes the diagnosis and treatment of the following: ADD, abuse, anxiety, depression, marriage and family development, substance use, addiction, pornography use, cognitive distortions, men’s issues, faith issues and various diagnostic criteria. My interest and experience also includes working with high school students, older adults and the acquired brain injury population.

I believe that seeking help from a therapist takes strength and courage. When I see clients, it is my goal to compassionately and collaboratively address the issues that are most difficult, and help lead and guide them in their process of resolving concerns. I believe people have incredible abilities, thus one of my primary goals is to help explore, process and improve the manifestations of these strengths. I have spent the vast majority of my career supporting and counseling clients facing issues ranging from eating disorders and addictions, couples/family conflict, and mood disorders.

As a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Registered Art Therapist, I work with clients at all ages and stages of life. I take a client-centered approach and follow the needs of each individual depending on whether they prefer talk therapy, art therapy or a combination. Majority of my experience includes working with clients that struggle with anxiety, depression, attachment issues, family conflict, trauma and abuse/neglect. I aim to create a safe space to build trust and empower self growth in my clients. Therapy has been healing in my own life and I hope to provide support for others struggling with their mental health.

Megan Komatsu, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Arizona State University and her master's in social work from San Diego State University. She is trained in EMDR and several other treatment modalities. She specializes in the treatment of trauma/post-traumatic stress disorder and also treats depression, co-occurring disorders, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship issues, and adjustment disorders. She has treated a diverse clientele of all ages and has spoken at national and local conferences.

Saddle of Love will be a 501(c)(3) non-profit Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) program. Our mission is to teach trust, self- love, and positive life coping skills to youth through Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. We will partner with horses for the exploration of self- awareness, connection and confidence and love to gain new perspectives on life. We offer EMDR, individual, group and family therapy as well as camps, retreats, culinary and horticulture therapy.
