I am a psychoanalytically-oriented psychotherapist with 21 years of experience working with individuals seeking help with the difficulties they face in the progress of their lives. My practice perspective is grounded in Analytical Psychology, the theories and practices developed by Carl G. Jung (1875-1961), a Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. My work is also informed by my training and experience in Object Relations Theory and Ego Psychology, which are associated analytical perspectives and compliment a Jungian approach to depth psychological treatment.
Depression, anxiety, and a sense of directionless frustration often arise due to unaddressed internal conflict. I would like to help you resolve psychological conflicts that have limited your ability to love deeply, to work effectively, and to achieve personal mastery in your life.
My background and on-going interest in the fine arts also informs my practice. It is the foundation on which my humanistic, exploratory approach to psychological development rests. I believe the ability to explore the psyche through creative expression is essential to the quality of our lives.
