Whether you are experiencing problems in a relationship, grief or bereavement, depression, anxiety, or a spiritual crisis, there is hope. I am trained in EMDR, CBT, ACT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, psychodynamic theory, and routinely learn from experts in the field. Perhaps most important though, is that I listen.
In your first session, I learn about what brings you to therapy and spend time getting to know you. The frequency and length of treatment may be different for each individual or family. We collaborate so that you get the best care specific to your needs. I generally utilize an eclectic approach with open and direct communication that is empathic.
If you take prescription medications, research demonstrates that unwanted symptoms remit faster when paired with therapy. Taking steps toward therapy can be difficult but you've already done one of the most difficult steps-your own research. I have appointments available weekdays and evenings and you can typically be seen within a week.
