I specialize in creating a space where patients can feel safe to share who they really are and what they are experiencing. This allows them to naturally become aware of changes they want to make and gives them support as they explore those changes. I am honored to be invited to accompany patients on their healing journey and feel deep respect for those courageous enough to engage in the process of healing and changing their lives.

Life is hard. We do the best we can to solve our problems with the knowledge we have. But sometimes we find ourselves in a difficult spot where we need fresh perspectives and new thinking tools to help us deal with our problems in a healthier way. That is the benefit of counseling. In a safe and affirming environment, I help my clients find solutions to problems that are solvable, learn to better cope with those that are unsolvable, and discover deeper joy and meaning in life.

Life is beautiful and we are capable of exploring all aspects of it: the good and the difficult. Both things are necessary to become a strong and better "us"! Though there is so much good, life also comes with unanticipated 'rocks in our backpack'. This can leave us confused, hurt, and feeling displaced. Effective therapy is about several factors: experience, client healing, a clear diagnosis, concise and appropriate goals, and the tools needed to effectively navigate difficulty along the journey of life. We love what we do and we are good at it! Visit us at GOLDWELLNESS.COM

Over the past 16+ years of full-time practice, I have developed a strong commitment to helping adults, children and teens heal from anxiety, depression, grief and trauma. Since completing my formal training in 2008, I settled in Utah, where I have worked extensively with adults suffering from trauma, depression, anxiety and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Regarding my work with children and teens, I have worked extensively with conditions like ADHD, Autism, learning problems, self-harm behaviors, and mood disturbance. A family-based treatment approach is very important, as the whole family needs to be involved.

Do you ever struggle with feeling you are not good enough? No matter how many things you have to be grateful for in your life there is still a part of you that feels less than? Do you feel like you have no idea who you are, or how to love yourself more? Maybe you are in a mid life crisis and are trying to figure out who you are now that the kids don't need you every minute of the day. Maybe you have spent years talking about how you want to fix things but no matter how much you do nothing seems to be different.

I believe we all have an inner wisdom calling to us, asking us to pay attention. Sometimes this shows up as anxiety, depression, pain, exhaustion, anger, relationship struggles, frustration, and fear. When these visitors appear, they can overwhelm our ability to cope with everyday life. Caught in the struggle, it can be difficult to find our way through, to listen and understand what this wisdom is trying to tell us. In our sessions, I offer non-judgmental attention, presence, creativity, and intuitive curiosity - creating a relationship that allows my clients to discover their innate ability to grow and find healing.

I am an EMDR Certified therapist specializing in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, developmental trauma, and other trauma-related issues in adults, including ADHD. I work with clients who have experienced chronic and complex trauma or single-incident trauma. My passion is helping people uncover their own inherent wisdom, which is often buried under layers of emotional pain or unhelpful belief systems. Together, we work to resolve the issues that have carried over from historical injuries into everyday life. "The goal is not to be 'cured' but to develop." - Gabor Mate.

My ideal client is someone who feels motivated to find empowerment over their own life. My ideal client is someone who wants to use therapy as a space to explore, express, process, brainstorm, feel, connect, and create. Therapy is a resource to them to assist in the ongoing challenges that arise as a result of being human. They want a therapist who will both support them and challenge them. They may have a background of traumatic experiences, they may have an official or unofficial diagnosis of neurodivergence, or they may be someone who simply feels like we would be a good therapist/client match.

Hey- I'm Page Graham a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina, Utah, and Georgia; I am also a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist in NC. As a neurodivergent therapist I have a very direct, honest, informational approach that aims to develop a genuine and collaborative partnership with my clients to reach their identified goals. I am more casual than some when it comes to my communication style- I blend coaching and therapy most of the time. While I can easily transition into "clinical mode" using words and phrases specific to the therapeutic world-I prefer not to.

Attachment-based Therapists

Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?

Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.

What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?

Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.

How long does attachment-based therapy last?

Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.

Does attachment-based therapy work?

Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
