Hello there! My name is Brooke, and I am the owner and a therapist at Brookhaven Counseling. I am a licensed clinical social worker, and have been working in this field for over 20 years. I use a strengths based approach with my clients, and believe that each person has within them the ability to heal, grow, and find purpose and meaning in life. I love to walk beside my clients as they work through difficult issues, and as they discover the new insight and growth that inevitably appears on the other side of the struggle.
People often come to me for help in making sense of experiences they have had in the past that are getting in the way of their lives and relationships now. I specialize in the the treatment of PTSD, grief and loss issues and problems related to relationships and attachment insecurities. I am certified in EMDR therapy.
