Everyone has a story and their experiences are apart of what makes them who they are today. I’m a firm believer that people want to be the best versions of themselves. Therapy is a great tool to achieve this goal. I work with individuals to help guide them through the process through a holistic and strengths based approach. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, self harm, behavioral health issues and I’m an advocate and ally for the LGBTQ+ community. I will help you change negative thinking and behaviors to change the world around you in a healthy and successful way.

I firmly believe there is a function to our behavior. Sometimes it's obvious, sometimes not. And sometimes, while our behavior made sense at one time, maybe even to the point of saving our life, it is no longer serving us. We're all just doing the best that we can but sometimes the way we're coping leads to highly negative impacts on our body, mind, spirit, & relationships. A wise mentor once shared with me that our capacity for change comes from our ability (and willingness) to reflect. I seek to empower my clients to gain the tools and self-awareness they need in order to cultivate a sense of peace and personal agency.

The world has felt heavy the past few years and there just seems to be never ending pressures and stress. It’s common to experience anxiety, depression, chronic stress, relationship difficulties and feelings of isolation. Past trauma might also be impacting you more, interfering with your overall mood and day to day life. You are not alone. These experiences, while common, are not something that you have to suffer through. By working through these challenges in therapy, you will feel better again and find balance and re-connection in your life.

Life is hard. Three simple words that are at the root of why people seek out therapists. I believe that the vast majority of people are doing the best they can in life. When our thoughts, words and actions aren’t in sync with our values or expectations of ourselves, that can lead to depression, anxiety and other distressing emotions. Sometimes we find ourselves in deep distress due to the actions of others. I find great joy in helping others sort through that complex tangle of emotions, thoughts and behaviors in order to come to a resolution–to figure out how to move forward in a manner that brings them peace.

I have seen more resiliency than I ever thought imaginable. Both through teens and older adults. I specialize in working to heal current and past trauma. I have worked with the abused/neglected youth and adults, behavioral issues, domestic violence, postpartum depression, addiction, anxiety, depression, borderline, PTSD, bipolar and more. Throughout all of my work, I have learned how unique each individual is and how unique each of their healing processes are. I believe in the power of the mind and sometimes the need to heal that mind to find the power hidden beneath.

Hi, my name is Amber Frazier, and I am an Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) In Davis County, Weber County, and surrounding areas. This journey of life can bring so many ups and downs, and at times, the ups can feel way too few and far in between. And sometimes, life may make you question the worth of yourself, the purpose of your life, and the hamster wheel that you’re running everyday can make you feel like you’re chasing after what can sometimes seems meaningless and empty.

Hey- I'm Page Graham a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina, Utah, and Georgia; I am also a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist in NC. As a neurodivergent therapist I have a very direct, honest, informational approach that aims to develop a genuine and collaborative partnership with my clients to reach their identified goals. I am more casual than some when it comes to my communication style- I blend coaching and therapy most of the time. While I can easily transition into "clinical mode" using words and phrases specific to the therapeutic world-I prefer not to.

Some of the most difficult and scary steps to take are those beginning steps of change. Often times these steps are out of one's comfort zone, and the first instinct is to want to hide, run or give up entirely. Life never promises or guarantees a pain free existence! However, with first steps and the courage to try, there can be a guarantee to oneself, to learn to take on challenges, struggles, pain, hurt, hang-ups, habits, addictions, etc. At this point its ok and have acceptance of one's difficulties and to embrace it. It's possible with the right guidance, support, and building of skills to rebuild what's been broken/is breaking.

Colby is passionate about life and about helping others to discover that same passion. He recognizes that we all go through life experiences that shape and form us into who we are today. Through those experiences, we can become stuck, discouraged, overwhelmed, feeling helpless, and hopeless. This can keep us from being able to maximize our happiness and joy. Colby uses a combination of therapy modalities to help us understand why we are the way we are, come to accept who we are, and then challenge ourselves to become our best self through intrapersonal and interpersonal growth.

Life is beautiful and we are capable of exploring all aspects of it: the good and the difficult. Both things are necessary to become a strong and better "us"! Though there is so much good, life also comes with unanticipated 'rocks in our backpack'. This can leave us confused, hurt, and feeling displaced. Effective therapy is about several factors: experience, client healing, a clear diagnosis, concise and appropriate goals, and the tools needed to effectively navigate difficulty along the journey of life. We love what we do and we are good at it! Visit us at GOLDWELLNESS.COM

I utilize a lot of experiential methods, as well as traditional talk therapy such as CBT, Mindfulness, and Attachment-based approaches.
Have you ever felt ashamed? Ever felt like others don’t understand you, but say they do? Those have been my own experiences and have led me to work with people in recovery and their families, survivors of domestic violence/abuse, minority communities and teens. I come from a multi-cultural family with an immigrant parent which has both enriched my life and created unique struggles for me. These experiences, however, have helped me empathize with a wide variety of people and situations. My goals are to support my clients as they navigate their struggles and find hope and strength within themselves.

Attachment-based Therapists

Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?

Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.

What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?

Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.

How long does attachment-based therapy last?

Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.

Does attachment-based therapy work?

Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
