My career began in the field of Substance Abuse. From there I have been working with children, adolescents, teens, and adults with various mental diagnoses over the past 13 years. I am involved in various Human Rights campaigns and a firm believer in equality. My philosophy is simple, provide no-nonsense, affordable care for the people.

My clinical expertise includes working with adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, post-partum depression and grief and loss. I've provided over 10,000 hours of therapy and like Confucius said, "Choose a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life." I managed LDS Family Services for 13 years and loved directing the 12-step Addiction Recovery Program in Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania. I've been recruited by multiple residential treatment centers, a hospital, a skilled nursing facility, and by an IOP program assessing and treating substance abuse and domestic violence.

I provide individual and family therapy for a variety of needs. These include, but are not limited to: Depression, anxiety, trauma (PDST), Opposition Defiance Disorders, ADHD, Reactive Attachment Disorders, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorders, Mental Retardation, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disorders, Conduct Disorders, Grief Issues, Adoption Issues, Various forms of Dementia, and other issues. I have been a practicing therapist for over 30 years and have consulted in the states of Utah, Idaho and Washington. I hold a teaching degree in Secondary Education and a MA in Psychology, and have owned and run my own private mental health practice since 1984.

As a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Registered Art Therapist, I work with clients at all ages and stages of life. I take a client-centered approach and follow the needs of each individual depending on whether they prefer talk therapy, art therapy or a combination. Majority of my experience includes working with clients that struggle with anxiety, depression, attachment issues, family conflict, trauma and abuse/neglect. I am a licensed clinical child psychologist specializing in utilizing state of the art assessment and therapy techniques to detect and treat learning disabilities, ADHD, and other emotional/personality issues which may hinder a child's learning experience. In addition, our clinic performs infant developmental testing and kindergarten readiness evaluations. As a parent of five children, I understand the many issues that we face on a daily basis with our children and I strive to assist parents with finding answers to problems facing their family system.
