I specialize in Trauma/PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, and Couples Counseling. I don’t believe there is one way to treat everyone…which is why using creativity and tailoring the process to exactly what you need is important. Most therapists tend to fall back on techniques to try to help their clients manage their problems. My approach is very different. My approach is all about treating the root cause of anxiety, depression, addiction, and trauma. If you want to get rid of a weed you don’t just want to trim the top, you want to pull it out by the roots.
I do this is by focusing on emotions. Every emotion we have has a message. Our body tries to tell us what we need in our life to overcome what we struggle with. I am trained to help you learn how you can do that in order to truly heal and move forward. I have also been trained in EMDR which is a powerful way to help people work through traumatic past events.
Another important part of my approach to healing involves creating a safe place for you to explore and express emotions associated with trauma. In the process of expression and self-discovery, you will find new meaning and purpose in what you have experienced and grow in confidence and peace of mind.
