I earned my B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Washington in Seattle and my master’s degree in Social Work from New York University in Manhattan, New York. My background prior to private practice comprised diverse settings such as hospital social work, community mental health, and working within the New York City Public Schools. For 5 years I was a family and individual therapist on the Compass Unit for Young Adults at The Menninger Clinic. For 4+ years I was the Director of Eating Disorder Services at The Menninger Clinic.

I believe in a holistic perspective of wellness and caring for all the dimensions of the self. By focusing on the connection between the mind, body, and spirit, you can become empowered to make positive changes that are in harmony with your values and overcome challenges using your new skills and insights. Working as a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in helping people cope with their issues. I guide my clients in a way that utilizes both their heads and their hearts. Earning my Bachelors of Science in Psychology as well as my Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling has provided me with the knowledge, skill, and technique to work towards guiding clients to work towards peace and growth.The desire to motivate people to work towards their goals developed early in my college years when I worked as a mentor for a local community ministry in a small college town.
