As a Professional Counselor, I meet new clients with great interest. While getting acquainted, I like to note their strong qualities/abilities as well as recognize areas that need improvement to resolve pain or discomfort. I want to explore my client's own goals and seek methods that may help him/her approach them. I am ready to use cognitive, behavioral, interpersonal, psychodynamic or supportive therapy--whichever method or combination appears to be the best approach for the particular client with his/her particular needs. Sometimes, a new way of viewing a problem area is enough to accomplish major improvement.
I realize that each person requires understanding and high regard in order to function optimally. In therapy, everyone deserves respect, attentive listening, empathy, correct interpretation, skilled interventions, and privacy. I do my best to provide all of these. I have a special interest in helping people deal with medical conditions.
My practice location is in Baytown. (I am no longer in the Houston Heights, but Baytown is on the same I-10 Highway, just 25 miles east. Baytown was my original home. As an adult I have lived in Turkey and in the New York City area.) Please call to discuss an appointment.
