Hello. As a therapist practicing for over 15 years I consider it an honor to walk beside my clients as they approach their struggles. Life is hard. It's sad, lonely, aggravating and completely relentless sometimes. We all need a nonjudgmental ear to aid in our own understanding of what might have us seemingly stuck.
I specialize in treatment of eating disorders but also work well with life transition, anxiety, depression, and perfectionism. I believe therapy can be extremely helpful when approached with an attitude of curiosity and openness. I like to use mindfulness techniques and educate, when appropriate, about the function of emotions.
I strongly believe, once insight and trust in one's own ability to tolerate emotions are present, life opens up.
