I am passionate about EMDR therapy and I train in TN, AL, GA, TX, KY and Washington D. C. also use Rapid Resolution Therapy with Clinical Hypnosis for a variety of issues including but not limited to traumatic events, addictions, stopping smoking and decreasing chronic pain. I do relationship counseling, parent education life coaching, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, grief and loss counseling, anger management, personality testing and EMDR.

Robert is an Intervention Specialist trained in guiding families through the systemic process whereby a person addicted to alcohol or drugs is encouraged to accept help and enter treatment. Robert has worked in treatment centers and detoxification facilities as a counselor, program developer, educator, director of admission and clinical supervisor. Robert's practice specializes in substance abuse interventions, counseling, DOT/SAP services and community prevention. Robert is certified and licensed as an Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse counselor; Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) ; Prevention Specialist; and Crisis Interventionist.

As a psychotherapist for more than 30 years, I believe that therapeutic alliance between a therapist and client is most essential for successful treatment outcomes. Restore Life Behavioral Health is an outpatient treatment center that focuses on healing the total person. We provide counseling services such as individual, couples, family, and group therapy.

As a Clinician, I work with a mixed population of children and adults, across a wide range of treatment modalities. My youngest client is 3 years old and my oldest is 53 years old. I feel called to work with individuals who have been exposed to traumatic events in their lives. Trauma therapy allows children to communicate, express feelings, modify behavior, develop problem-solving skills, and learn a variety of ways of relating to others. Professional experience includes serving children, adolescents, adults, and families in the settings of community outreach, outpatient services, foster care, adoption, and mental health/addiction treatment centers. I am passionate about promoting personal growth, empowerment, advocacy, and self-efficacy. I strive to connect with clients in a safe therapeutic alliance to help increase tolerance thresholds through psycho-education, therapeutic interventions, skills practice, mind-body connection, and self-awareness.
