I provide ADHD coaching and psychotherapy to youth (grades 5 and up), adults, couples, and families. I believe one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself is self-awareness through therapy or coaching. This involves a great deal of self-care and acceptance while you honor your strengths, identify and accept the things you need to work on, and learn strategies and coping skills. Some issues I can provide coaching or therapeutic support for are: ADHD, executive functioning challenges, depression, anxiety, OCD, grief and loss, infertility, social, interpersonal and/or parenting difficulties.
My approach to psychotherapy draws from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and psycho-educational models. ADHD coaching has two parts: assessment and ongoing coaching. During the assessment, questionnaires are completed together to determine ADHD and executive functioning difficulties. Also, parents or partners are often asked to complete questionnaires.
After the assessment, ADHD coaching strategies are taught to help manage ADHD traits better. Education about ADHD and Executive Functioning is also shared and creative gifts highlighted. Parent or spouse/partner coaching sessions are often integrated into the coaching to help develop more peaceful relating. I offer guidance with IEP or 504 plans as well.
