Growing up can be difficult. Whether your child or adolescent is demonstrating challenging behaviors at home or experiencing stress from school, I am here to help. During the day, I work with children as a school psychologist providing counseling for issues including anxiety, social conflicts, and oppositional behaviors. I also diagnose learning disabilities through assessments and provide consultation to families. In my private practice, I work outside of the confines of the school setting to help children, adolescents, and adults reach their fullest potential and learn to cope with challenging thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
In order to accomplish our goals, I utilize an evidence based approach called Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. This means that we will actively work together to increase awareness of your thoughts and behaviors in order to help change how you feel. CBT has been proven effective for various mental health issues.
Through my experience, I have unique insights into the challenges and demands that students in the school system are faced with.
