Feeling worried, sad, stressed out or having challenges in your relationships can be difficult to cope with. Sometimes feeling unhappy or unsatisfied with life can become unbearable. In situations where alcohol or drug use is involved issues can get worse quickly. Or maybe there is something else going on for you? When faced with challenges that can feel overwhelming counseling can help. Choosing a therapist is an important decision. I understand that seeking help can be tough and feeling comfortable in therapy is critical. I believe that treating my clients with the upmost respect and understanding comes first.
My approach is collaborative, supportive, respectful and non-judgmental. I treat most presenting issues; however, I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, addictions, relationship issues, depression and LGBTQ+ needs. I provide therapy to individuals, couples and families in New York, Vermont and in Florida. I provide services both in office and online.
My experience includes providing mental health and addiction services in settings including outpatient clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, residential treatment centers, colleges and in state government. Mark is licensed in both New York (LCSW-R) and Vermont (LICSW) as a Clinical Social Worker and in Vermont as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC).
