Many people find themselves feeling sad, overwhelmed, stressed, lonely, isolated and anxious. You may find yourself trying to cope with an illness, relationship troubles, body image, the death of a loved one, low self-confidence, divorce, anger, poor self care, shame, guilt, substance abuse, or other feelings. These issues can significantly impact your quality of life. The focus of my practice is to provide a supportive environment that allows you to talk openly with someone who's objective, neutral, and nonjudgmental. You and I can work together to identify and change the patterns and barriers that are keeping you from feeling your best.
For almost 20 years, using evidence-based treatment models, I've worked with people who felt prolonged helplessness and sadness, had difficulty concentrating and carrying out daily activities, worry excessively, and think their actions, such as drinking too much alcohol, using drugs, or being aggressive, are harming themselves and their relationships.
I use an integrated approach that combines different therapeutic tools to help you explore your individual identity, uncover your strengths, and contextualize your personal experiences. I am also proud to serve the lesbian, gay, bisexual and Queer communities.
