Sometimes we catch our selves in the midst of chaos and often times we don't even know how we got there! I truly enjoy my work and feel it is my calling. I may be a good fit for you if you are a Female Veteran, Military Dependent, Emerging Adult (school to first job), or Gifted and Anxious. New Clients: waitlist only. There are times in life when we may feel stretched beyond our limits, in need of repair. When we feel hopeless that things will get better, whether individually, in your relationship, or with your family. During these difficult times it can be hard to ask for help. When you take that first step of reaching out, I’ll come along side of you and aid in your journey towards healing, balance, and wellness. I will collaborate with you to help guide your journey, as we work together to find health and happiness. I do individual sessions as well as run small groups for betrayed partners.

Life can be a wild ride of ups and downs. It is my belief that those adventures can be easier to go through if you have someone to talk to. I am a down-to-earth person who understands empathy while sharing a non-judgmental space to promote healing. I was raised in a military family in the small town of El Paso, Texas. I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas, El Paso in Criminal Justice before moving to California and earning my Master's degree in Social Work from California State University, Sacramento. I was exposed to many cultures and people from all socio-economic backgrounds. I learned, and continue to learn, effective ways to communicate and develop strong, lasting relationships by focusing on on and changing behaviors, thoughts and feelings that affect my life. Now accepting new clients. Life gives us various hardships and trials. Regardless of the challenge you face I can listen with an empathetic ear and assist in making life changes. By seeking counseling I can help you navigate life's challenges while personally growing in mental, emotional, and physical health. My therapeutic style is relaxed while remaining engaged and focused on client progress. While I enjoy working with individuals and couples, I particularly have a passion for working with teens and families. I utilize a family system approach, which encourages sessions with parents and children, alone and together.

Do any of these behaviors apply to your relationship? We seldom have any sex or intimacy. We only talk about the kids or work, just daily stuff, nothing important. I feel lonely in this marriage. If it weren't for the kids we would be done. Sometimes I think about having an affair, I never thought that would be me. I love my partner but I just don't feel like I am In Love with him/her. I think marriage can get boring, It's just we can't communicate. We either don't talk or we argue.

At times do you struggle with negative thoughts, over thinkng or trying to understand who you are and where you belong? The feeling of sadness and loss of hope. Sometimes feelings of not being accepted or appreciated. Have you ever felt as if no one is listening to you? I understand and can relate. My goal is to assist with reframing those thoughts and applying the necessary tools to help you identify and understand those feelings and how to apply effective coping skills.

At one point or another in our lives, we can be exposed to stressful situations or trauma. Managing emotions can be difficult. We might feel stuck and without hope in the future. My wish is to create a safe space where I can empower you to navigate those difficulties.

I specialize in working with children, teens, young adults, and parents, but I can help any individual who wants help with anxiety, trauma, depression, family conflict, or simply balancing life's stressors. Asking for help is not easy, but it "takes a village" and you do not need to do it alone.
