As a licensed clinical psychologist, I work with people to help increase their awareness of thoughts, feelings and behaviors -- such as fear, sadness and anger-- that can hold them back from being fully engaged in the world. I try to create an environment that will encourage curiosity and help you garner insight into the situations that may cause you to act in ways that feel unproductive. We will work to find news ways to think, feel and respond.
Through the process of examining emotions and repeated patterns, you can change the ways you see yourself and others.
I have many years experience working with individuals (adolescents and adults) and couples who have had difficulty with relationships, traumatic experiences, sadness and worry.
My training has been in a psychodynamic modality. I adapt my technique to the needs of the individual and may combine various techniques to help you achieve your goals.
