I believe that in times of profound suffering, we search for meaning and purpose. After loss, we may need specialized support to navigate what is for many of us a forever changed landscape. It is natural to feel stuck and alone, lost, anxious or depressed. In therapy, we will explore and be with your grief in no predetermined format, while also reorienting to possibilities, new paths forward, and values. I truly believe that we can learn to survive traumatic losses and to experience joy and the richness of the present again while investing deeply in relationships. My expertise is in bereavement as well as couple's work. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Couple's Therapy (EFT) and am Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed.
I welcome issues related to bereavement and grief, including grieving a child, perinatal, spouse loss, disenfranchised, ambiguous and traumatic loss, anticipatory, life-threatening illness, among others, as well as grief more broadly defined. I welcome religion/spirituality and celebrate differences of all kinds in my practice.
