Pursuing Peace is a non-profit that exist to help people find quality mental health treatment available to help clients deal with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, & intimacy related issues. I have worked in social work and ministry as well as tradition therapy, and all these have helped me grow and learn how to better serve my clients. It has been my experience that collaborating with clients to help facilitate healing and growth is empowering and transformative for them. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and peace-filled life and look forward to walking beside you on that journey.

I help my clients find their strengths and utilize them to improve their difficulties. I focus on your experiences and preferences in therapy and rely on your feedback to provide you with the service you need. I have experience with treating interpersonal and personal difficulties. If you are someone who is struggling with understanding the reason why behind certain behaviors & are wanting to learn how to heal, overcome, and succeed, you are in the right place. Many of the individuals who I work with are driven to feel better and have a growth mindset. You know that life is meant to be more fulfilling. Many of the individuals I see struggle with anxiety, trauma, and/or self-esteem issues. (Coaching! I specialize in working with moms to help them overcome anxiety, perfectionism and self-doubt so they can launch a profitable & fulfilling business/side-hustle; allowing them to have more freedom, flexibility)

I work with individuals, couples, and families in helping them achieve control over "emotional hijacking" and poor decision making. Feelings like fear, sorrow, anger, rejection prevent people from experiencing connectedness with life and with others. Therefore, the ideal client is one who is struggling with relationship problems, anger, addictions (sexual or chemical), poor stress control, depression, or anxiety-I provide a safe environment where the individual's pain and/or struggle is met with understanding alongside a plan of action to address the issue(s).

My clients are successful professionals who have areas in their lives that they feel have become chaotic, due to addiction, abuse, and trauma. I believe that there is currently a large population of highly successful professionals who are struggling with these issues in an unhealthy way, such as watching pornography or sex. I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) specializing in sex/porn addictions, multiple addictions, trauma, abuse, and PTSD.

I believe that all individuals will encounter a time in their lives when they will be facing some form of hardship, conflict, or distress. The ability for someone to recognize that they cannot go it alone and need a partner to assist them in navigating life situations is where I come into play. I believe that individuals can make the changes necessary in their lives with the proper supports and skills provided through counseling. Individuals who are ready to put in the work needed to navigate this life are the ones who will succeed.

I am a small-town girl; I grew up in Willard, graduated from Willard, and have returned. While driving home for Christmas in 2015, I realized Willard needed a counseling center--and I have officially taken the leap! My hope is this can help Willard and the smaller surrounding towns not have to drive all the way to Springfield. I look forward to working with clients whose life path may have created difficulties for them that has led them not be the best of who they can be. Each individual's path may have been sprinkled with physical or emotional abuse, neglect, assault, grief and loss, domestic violence, marital or parental discord or a myriad of other situations. Sometimes these life paths create in my clients a feeling of hopeless and loss of self-worth, sometimes these path end with someone needing to determine a plan to leave an unsafe living situation. Sometimes these paths lead to turning to substances and illegal drugs to cope with the internal turmoil and pain. It is my privlege to work with clients to help them identify and bring forth the best of who they are and what they want for their life, their family and their future through their own individual strengths.

It is important to me that all individuals feel welcome and supported during the counseling process and I am passionate about creating a safe and secure atmosphere to assist clients in overcoming whatever challenges they might be facing. I have worked with a diverse population of clientele, including teen and adult members of the LGBTQ+ community, and have experience working in a residential setting to help children and their families overcome trauma, behavioral, and mental health issues. I also have experience working with adult individuals and couples to improve their relationships and overall well-being.

Life can be so hard, especially when we carry traumatic memories, cultural and generational burdens, or chronic stress. I believe, from the depth of my being, that we are all doing our very best with our current resources. I'm here to support your healing and help you reclaim the power over your suffering. My services are entirely through telehealth, and I provide a warm but real environment over my telehealth platform. I provide support to adults of all ages!

We have a knowledge that it wasn’t meant to be this way and feel compelled to take the first steps toward wholeness but sometimes don’t know where to begin. Through compassion and empathy, I partner with clients to begin their healing journey. I seek first to understand their story, providing a safe and secure place to process the pain. It is my core belief that no problem is too messy and no challenging situation is without hope.

I know what it's like to feel broken, hopeless, and alone. I also know how it feels to come out of a season like that. One of my greatest passions is to walk alongside others facing challenges that they feel unequipped to handle. It takes courage to ask for help, especially with the negative stigma attached to therapy. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space to help adults and children find the strength to move forward. The opposite of traumatized isn't content. The opposite of addicted isn't sober. The opposite of depressed isn't happy. I believe that the opposite of all emotional unrest is connection. Through connecting in a meaningful way to me as your therapist, we will walk a path toward making meaningful connections in your life, and being present and engaged in the connections you already value so deeply. I work primarily with survivors of trauma who struggle to figure out why things seem more difficult for them than for those around them. My clients often seek peace when they’ve often felt like life is harder for them than for others.

Painful, overwhelming feelings and relationship stress are difficult to navigate alone and that's why I strive to provide a place where you will feel valued, understood, and supported. I’m committed to helping adolescents and adults feel empowered to face the many challenges life offers. I help people that are struggling with relationships, parenting, grief, and transitions. As well as, providing care for those that are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

My focus is on helping clients in the healing process. I address issues such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, marital discord, relationship conflict, trauma, grief, abuse, child conduct issues and a many other emotional, behavioral, social and family issues. I would be honored to work with anyone who is experiencing difficulty in life and help them learn and develop different ways to cope and resolve their emotional pain. One of the unique therapeutic interventions I use is Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT). AAT is designed to promote improvement in physical, social, emotional, and/or cognitive functioning.
