Through compassion and empathy, I partner with clients to begin their healing journey. I seek first to understand their story, providing a safe and secure place to process the pain. It is my core belief that no problem is too messy and no challenging situation is without hope.

The opposite of traumatized isn't content. The opposite of addicted isn't sober. The opposite of depressed isn't happy. I believe that the opposite of all emotional unrest is connection. Through connecting in a meaningful way to me as your therapist, we will walk a path toward making meaningful connections in your life, and being present and engaged in the connections you already value so deeply. I work primarily with survivors of trauma who struggle to figure out why things seem more difficult for them than for those around them. My clients often seek peace when they’ve often felt like life is harder for them than for others.

Rebecca is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Therapist who is currently taking clients in Missouri and Oregon who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and looking for support in their desired treatment goals. Rebecca specializes in walking besides clients to assist them to find their inner strength in order to overcome challenges.

The ideal client is anyone who is willing to come to therapy. With a strengths-based, trauma-focused, and client-centered approach, I can work with nearly any individual, couple, family, or group.

I believe that all individuals will encounter a time in their lives when they will be facing some form of hardship, conflict, or distress. The ability for someone to recognize that they cannot go it alone and need a partner to assist them in navigating life situations is where I come into play. I believe that individuals can make the changes necessary in their lives with the proper supports and skills provided through counseling. Individuals who are ready to put in the work needed to navigate this life are the ones who will succeed.

I work with individuals with a wide range of concerns. My clinical specialties and interests include disordered eating, body image, obesity and weight loss, LGBTQ, gender identity, phase of life transitions, grief/loss, relationships, assertive communication, issues related to trauma/adverse life experiences, holistic health and wellness, self-compassion, and promoting self-awareness and insight. My background includes significant experience in the delivery of behavioral health care including individual psychotherapy and inpatient, intensive-outpatient, and outpatient groups. In addition to my experience with psychotherapy services, I also complete psychological assessments, provide supervision to pre-doctoral psychology interns, and consultation services.

I work with individuals, couples, and families in helping them achieve control over "emotional hijacking" and poor decision making. Feelings like fear, sorrow, anger, rejection prevent people from experiencing connectedness with life and with others. Therefore, the ideal client is one who is struggling with relationship problems, anger, addictions (sexual or chemical), poor stress control, depression, or anxiety-I provide a safe environment where the individual's pain and/or struggle is met with understanding alongside a plan of action to address the issue(s).

Personal conflict can cause chaos in your life, but the appropriate resolution can nurture healthy relationships and personal growth. If you are ready to dig in and do the hard work, together we can work towards the more peaceful and happy life you desire. We offer Substance use groups for adults and adolescents. We are Christian centered and use a variety of research-based therapeutic methods of counseling to find what works best for our clients. I believe therapy should be started with the end in mind, so our goal is to bring about peace and balance in a timely manner.

We practice an interdisciplinary health care approach that invites healers from various disciplines to join together under a shared language and conceptualization approach where interventions can be thoughtfully co-discovered and contextualized in the therapeutic journey. Our team is constantly growing which brings rich new disciplines to the treatment setting including psychotherapy, movement and yoga, massage, art, and physical wellness.

My experience with helping individuals and families overcome difficult challenges is my passion. I believe that it easier to find and build upon one's strengths than it is to focus primarily on fixing problems. Much of my time in therapy is spent on discovering creative solutions rather than talking too long just about what is wrong. I have immediate availability for teens, adults, and couples who have experienced painful events or trauma, who suffer from depression or anxiety, and/or who are struggling to find their authentic selves. My clients are looking for support as they move toward a transformation into who they want to be. Their goal is deep healing. The clients I work with want to explore new ways of finding who they are, where they are in life, in order to experience connection with others and within themselves.

We continue to grow in staff and services. Life is full of adventures that affect every experience we encounter. We now have four License Staff, One Master's Level Counselor, One Qualified Mental Health Professionals, a Counselors in Training, a Professional Visitation Supervisor Monitor, and a Life Coach. My reason for being a counselor is to help people understand and heal from their past and/or current pain and to learn coping strategies to manage future pain. People and relationships can be complex and full of both positive and negative emotions, including some that are painful. The ability to feel them, learn from them, and express them to others allows us to live more engaged and meaningful lives. It is rewarding to be able to support people as they go through the process of self-exploration.

I believe that our past experiences and relationships play a major role in how we experience our lives in the present. Sometimes these experiences were painful or left our bodies feeling unsafe and hold us back from living the life we want. As a therapist at Beyond Healing, I hope to be present with my clients in a way that allows them to explore the deep parts of themselves they might have lost or forgotten. I believe that through the work and the healing, we can build a life for ourselves we are excited for.
