My goal is to provide clients a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore and process their pain and help them reflect on how their experiences influence their perception of themselves, others, and the world. With empathy, understanding, acceptance, and encouragement, I work with clients on integrating changes so that they have the tools they need to live a happy and healthy life.

Since 2012 I have been working with adolescents and young adults navigating various different struggles of their life. Together, with their families (when appropriate) we work to develop a plan and a path towards health and healing. It isn't always easy, in fact it’s often counterintuitive and confusing. Healing isn't linear, but what I can offer is a chance to communicate better, connect, and return your home to a peaceful place. Whether you are struggling with relationships, yourself, school or work, I am ready to help you navigate whatever it is that is going on in your mind, and move you towards a more meaningful life.

My clients are successful professionals who have areas in their lives that they feel have become chaotic, due to addiction, abuse, and trauma. I believe that there is currently a large population of highly successful professionals who are struggling with these issues in an unhealthy way, such as watching pornography or sex. I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) specializing in sex/porn addictions, multiple addictions, trauma, abuse, and PTSD.

I enjoy helping people overcome the sexual and emotional hurdles that hold them back -- sex addiction, porn/fantasy addiction, infidelity/betrayal, body image issues, sexual abuse, spiritual guilt, low self-esteem, lack of sexual confidence, family of origin issues, trust issues, etc. I believe EVERYONE deserves to be a sexually connected, sexually satisfied partner. Healthy sexual relationships can heal a multitude of wounds and bond a couple together in an incredibly synergistic way if they are both willing to do the work to overcome their own fears, anxieties, hurts, and hang-ups.

Hello! My name is Nate Rayburn and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Grain Valley Missouri. I have been practicing counseling in Missouri for the past eight years and look forward to being able to help you with any number of issues you may be battling.

I work with adults, couples, and families who face challenges related to the stress of modern living as well as traumatic experiences, including complex trauma histories. My clients often come to me with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress. I have experience in helping clients with family conflicts, trauma and abuse, parenting, and coping with grief and loss.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and relationships like a constant struggle. We have a knowledge that it wasn’t meant to be this way and feel compelled to take the first steps toward wholeness but sometimes don’t know where to begin. Through compassion and empathy, I partner with clients to begin their healing journey. I seek first to understand their story, providing a safe and secure place to process the pain. I love working with children and adolesecents, the more problematic and difficult the kids, the better. I enjoy interacting with them in ways that help us get to the core problems, while implementing coping skills into their daily life to decrease the daily struggles they have at home, at school, with their peers, and out in the community. I'm a Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in both MO and KS, Nationally Certified Counselor, Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and KS board-approved clinical supervisor.
