I am licensed in Missouri with 10 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I like to have choices! As a therapist, I offer different modalities for my clients. I am trained in EFT (tapping), Breathwork for individuals/groups and Somatic therapy. As we experience life there are struggles, obstacles, transitions and adjustments. Some of these blocks are from childhood or adolescence and some are happening today. How do we live our life in a genuine/authentic way? How do we transform? Starting the process to healing can be a vulnerable and unbelievable place. Allowing someone to walk with you can be the first step.

Life can be challenging at all stages! In my work with late teens to adults, I have found a common denominator: they have all the potential within themselves to be who they want to be, but got lost along the way. In my ten years as a counselor, it's been my privilege to care for men, teens, and couples wrestling with depression, stress, and anxiety; addiction (drugs and alcohol; gambling; sexual...); the grief involved with divorce; the struggles associated with life's transitions; difficulties in school and relationships; and family conflict. My hope is that the men and women I talk to would be able to experience intimacy in their relationships, fullness of life, and find success in their daily lives.

Maybe you are about to get married. Maybe you are in a relationship and haven't yet considered marriage. Maybe you've been married for 5, 13, even 35 years. Every relationship at some point experiences hardship and difficulty. It takes a lot of effort and energy to make a relationship succeed and stay close connected and intimate. Sometimes, it can be very difficult to find the energy, the will, or the motivation to truly give your heart to your partner. Whenever there is brokenness, my goal is to take those broken parts and bring them back together to make a whole relationship again.

The focus of what I offer is to invite and empower you to practice trusting the wisdom of your body. By doing this, a more secure and trusting relationship with yourself can begin to develop. In time, this can help you to navigate stressors and aid you in trauma recovery. A person generally finds relief, compassion, and an empowered sense of self from this process.

Couples and Individual Therapy are my specialities. I am passionate about helping couples identify their negative patterns, express their unmet needs, and repair their relationship injuries; deepening the trust and bond they once shared as a couple. I also work with individuals to find the insights and tools they need to navigate life's challenges and transitions. I appreciate working with clients who come from a wide variety of socio-economic, racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities, not to mention ages, including students and seniors.

I specialize in working with tweens through adult ages. During sessions we will focus on your current symptoms and life situation and explore past traumas, loss, or hurts that need to be healed to help you live your best life. I want to partner with you to increase your confidence in dealing with all that life might toss your way. I am currently accepting self-pay clients.

I have been in practice for 30 years. I have trained extensively in attachment focused traumas that result in Complex PTSD. I have worked extensively with childhood physical/sexual abuse as well as emotional, developmental neglect. I understand the impact of these childhood issues on adult life. I also work effectively with grief. I am looking for clients who want to work through childhood traumas, grief and challenges in life using EMDR. I am interested in clients who want to reconnect with parts of themselves that you dislike or have disowned so you can be a more complete version of yourself.

The opposite of traumatized isn't content. The opposite of addicted isn't sober. The opposite of depressed isn't happy. I believe that the opposite of all emotional unrest is connection. Through connecting in a meaningful way to me as your therapist, we will walk a path toward making meaningful connections in your life, and being present and engaged in the connections you already value so deeply. I work primarily with survivors of trauma who struggle to figure out why things seem more difficult for them than for those around them. My clients often seek peace when they’ve often felt like life is harder for them than for others.
