Hi. I am a licensed doctoral level psychologist. A “good fit" between the therapist and client is the launching pad for making long-lasting change. Having someone who can provide an objective, supportive, and non-judgmental environment is helpful when life gets challenging! For the past 20+ years, I have treated tweens and teens, adults, and parents using insight, cognitive behavioral, and trauma informed approaches. Whether it's a relationship issue or a family transition (e.g., career change, college bound, new baby, divorce, etc), I help clients to determine goals and the steps needed to attain them.

Have open availability for winter 2024! Sliding scale and some Medicaid; can be weekly or every other week sessions. My goals are to give clients and their families tools, and offer genuine support in daily and/or lifelong struggles. My belief is that change is possible for anyone, but the client and their loved ones need to have an open mind, and believe in love and support. Getting out of your comfort zone is a guarantee, and therapy is the first step. I will work with you and others who support you to reach your goals and make changes that lead to lifelong healthy habits of self care and thriving personal relationships.

I hold two doctorates one in psychology and a master's degree in clinical mental health care, and professional counseling making me a highly qualified professional counselor, clinician, and therapist. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). My expertise lies in providing talk therapy to individuals of all ages, including adolescents, adults, seniors, families, and groups. To ensure the best outcomes for my clients, I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy as an initial approach. This allows me to effectively address their specific situations and circumstances.

I welcome all clients to share the space with me, but I have experience working with those struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and OCD. I enjoy working with people who are looking to create a change in their life or those who are seeking to explore more of themselves. Additionally, I seek to make my space a comfortable one for those are LGBTQIA+ and love working with clients on topics related to their gender or sexuality.

Michelle earned her Masters of Social Work degree from Saint Louis University & her Licensed Master of Social Work License 2011. Michelle has worked with a diverse population over the years, primarily focusing on children, teenagers, & families, as well as individuals facing trauma. Michelle believes that all individuals wish to be heard, accepted & understood, but when faced with stressful & challenging situations life can seem overwhelming, unmanageable, and out of control, but therapy can help bring you peace, or "calm the chaos" as she frequently says.

I specialize in working with individuals (of all ages) who are neurodivergent (Autistic, ADHD, OCD, gifted, etc.) and I often work with children and teens who are in foster care or are adopted.
