Healing and growth takes place in the context of relationships - both in our relationship with ourselves, and in our relationships with others. Unfortunately, sometimes our relationships become distant, disconnected and a place of conflict, leaving us with unmet needs and just feeling “stuck.” We don’t feel safe asking for what we need, and maybe don’t even know what we need ourselves. The therapeutic relationship in counseling provides an authentic and safe place in which healing can begin to take place.

Through connecting in a meaningful way to me as your therapist, we will walk a path toward making meaningful connections in your life, and being present and engaged in the connections you already value so deeply. I work primarily with survivors of trauma who struggle to figure out why things seem more difficult for them than for those around them. My clients often seek peace when they’ve often felt like life is harder for them than for others.

I have had to overcome hardships that were placed in my life and through counseling, I was able to take back my life! I believe that every individual deserves a safe space to heal. My primary focus is serving: 1) Clients who are wanting to reprocess their traumatic memories utilizing EMDR, 2) Gay and lesbian identified clients, 3) Gender diverse clients (i.e. transgender, gender-fluid, genderqueer, gender-nonconforming, gender non-binary, etc), 4) Individuals who are exploring their sexual and/or gender identities, and 5) Clients who are exploring and/or deconstructing their religious identities.

Life presents a multitude of challenges, including pain, uncertainty, and constant work. While I cannot change these inevitable parts of the human experience, I hope to offer a place where you can process these difficulties and develop new skills to better face them in the future. I believe women face unique challenges in society and within themselves that deserve time and space to be addressed. From infertility to postpartum struggles to divorce and anxiety, my goal is to support you on your journey to becoming your most fulfilled version of yourself.

I believe that our past experiences and relationships play a major role in how we experience our lives in the present. Sometimes these experiences were painful or left our bodies feeling unsafe and hold us back from living the life we want. As a therapist at Beyond Healing, I hope to be present with my clients in a way that allows them to explore the deep parts of themselves they might have lost or forgotten. I believe that through the work and the healing, we can build a life for ourselves we are excited for.

I have worked with a diverse population of clientele, including teen and adult members of the LGBTQ+ community, and have experience working in a residential setting to help children and their families overcome trauma, behavioral, and mental health issues.
