I am most interested in working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, providing safe, respectful, and culturally responsive care. I have a strong interest in the experience of minority communities, intersectionality, trauma, grief and bereavement, building healthy relationships, and teaching skills around self-advocacy and boundaries. I also enjoy providing therapy for other therapists; it is so important for us to care for ourselves so we can show up effectively for our clients.
I work from a humanistic perspective and believe in a person-centered, strengths-based, emotion-focused approach. I also believe in tailoring my approach to each of my clients’ unique needs. I have experience in teaching cognitive-behavioral, self-compassion, emotion regulation, visualization, meditation, and imagination skills.
The most important thing for me is to meet you where you are at. You are the expert in your life. I want to listen to your experience, and to be present for you, providing a supportive relationship as you learn skills you can use to accomplish your goals.
