*Certified CBT Therapist* My approach to therapy allows me to conduct solution-focused therapy; meaning that together we will work towards solving whatever questions you may have through changing thoughts and/or behaviors. I also perform Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) where my work focuses on helping people change problematic behaviors. With a teaching style heavily rooted in behavior therapy, I am able to work with people to problem solve in the here and now, where we will work to turn the issues of yesterday and today into a better tomorrow.

By instituting behavioral change(s) we are able to see the progress for ourselves, which can encourage further and consistent self-improvement. Through behavioral therapy, we will focus on understanding how to work with negative thoughts, emotion regulation, managing relationships, along with being able to tolerate stress more effectively.

This 8 week group takes a CBT approach to learning about anxiety and gaining a greater understanding about one's own anxiety. In the group we will examine anxiety/panic, along with the skills needed to reduce the intensity and frequency of these attacks. You will also learn how to challenge anxious thoughts through the use of various techniques. Work will be done in the group as well as outside the group in order to gain more control over the symptoms of anxiety and panic.

The group is designed to help people change patterns of behavior that are not effective, such as self-harm, suicidal thinking and substance abuse. We aim to help people increase their emotional and cognitive regulation by learning about the triggers that lead to reactive states. This group will also help people to assess which coping skills to apply in the sequence of events, thoughts, feelings and behaviors that lead to the undesired behavior.
