I bring more than 30 years of experience as a psychotherapist. I uses innovative, effective and evidence-based approaches to individual and couples therapy. I'm a graduate of Cambridge College, where I earned my Masters in Education in Marriage and Family Therapy, I have received advanced training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.I have a background in trauma and relational conflict and is known for my effectiveness in working with challenging relationships.

I take an affirming, collaborative, strengths based, trauma informed approach to therapy. My lens is grounded in the understanding that life experiences and ways of navigating distress are dependent on one’s identities, internal and external environments, and social and cultural ecosystems. I utilize a breadth of relationally informed psychodynamic approaches to support clients. Although my therapeutic style is eclectic, integrative, and flexible, it is rooted in a psychodynamic theoretical orientation with a trauma informed lens, grounded in attachment theories and framed by social justice.

I focus on building a trusting relationship through empathy, caring, and compassion. In my practice I incorporate aspects of relational and psychodynamic approaches, including mindfulness and an awareness of the mind/body connection, to facilitate change and promote healing. I honor each individual's uniqueness, diversity, and cultural influences, and use these to guide me as a clinician to provide support, identify existing strengths, and work towards health, well-being, and happiness.

RVCC is a multi-service community-based mental health agency serving the Pioneer Valley since 1953. RVCC offers counseling and medication management at offices located in offices located in Holyoke, Chicopee, Easthampton, Springfield, and Westfield. RVCC also provides counseling in schools throughout Hampden and Hampshire Counties and on the campuses of Springfield Technical Community College and Bay Path University.

I am particularly interested in the intersection of sexuality and emotional intimacy. Some of my clients struggle to love well; others struggle with sex.
