For individuals who feel overwhelmed by their emotions compounded by the every-day stressors that life can bring, therapy provides a pathway to enhanced wellbeing. Tackling the misconceptions and stigmas that therapy is a privilege for a select few, my goal is to help put the power of self-awareness into the hands of all individuals through a mental health plan of action with a modern nuance that feels relevant to the realities of today.

With over 2 decades of experience, my practice falls into two main categories. The first is with children, adolescents, and adults who face challenges specifically around anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders, which are negatively impacting their functioning at home, school, and/or other activities/environments. The second is in adoption and non-parental event experiences. As an adoption therapist and domestic adoption program director, I have worked with all members of the adoption constellation dealing with pre and post adoption related issues, transracial adoption, late discovery adoptees, as well as NPE/MPE individuals.

My approach to treatment is very client-centered - people enter treatment at various stages of readiness and I am here to meet you wherever you may be. I understand the nuances of beginning therapy, meeting a new therapist, setting goals, sharing personal information, and ironing out your biggest concerns - even when you feel unsure. My hope is to help each client unlock their sources of happiness and hope so they can confront whatever challenges they are facing - mood issues, anxiety, substance issues, family dynamic concerns, trauma, interpersonal relationship issues, school-related problems, self-harm, gender issues, etc.

People are often exposed to stressors and or traumatic events that at times can unravel emotions that seem to consume us. During these times it seems hard to find the light at the end of the tunnel.
