Hope & Healing Counseling is located inside the Williamsburg Office Center at 2020 E 70th Street, Suite 301, in Shreveport, LA. We provide counseling for children, adolescents, and adults in individual, family, and group settings to treat various mental health concerns, trauma, grief, domestic violence, abuse, addictions, and more. We also provide educational and awareness trainings for caregivers and professionals. Additionally, we offer teletherapy/online counseling services.

I have been practicing as a Clinical Psychologist for 31 years, addressing the needs of individuals, couples, families, and institutions. I have particular expertise in the treatment of sex addiction and compulsivity, as well as relationship and intimacy difficulties. Since 2004, i have served as Clinical Consultant for the sex addiction and compulsion programs at Pine Grove in Hattiesburg, MS. The program is internationally recognized and is based on the ground-breaking work of Dr. Patrick Carnes. Furthermore, for several years, I was the Chief Psychologist for the Masters and Johnson program in New Orleans.

He is a Tulane University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Master's Degree in Social Work with over 25 years of experience in mental health. John's knowledge and expertise includes crisis intervention, grief counseling, anger management, anxiety, depression, issues with sexual orientation, and assisting clients in adjusting to and coping with life changes. John is a Certified Schema Therapist and a member of the International Society of Schema Therapy.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30 years of experience working in both outpatient and inpatient settings. During these wonderful 30 years I have had the privilege of being a Clinical Director and therapist for adolescents and adults in trauma recovery experiencing dual diagnoses with mood disorders and substance abuse. For the past several years I have enjoyed working at Hero’s Program of New Beginnings where I work with active duty and military veterans. My areas of focus are working with ages 15+ and adults dealing with trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, addictions, mood disorders, self-esteem, OCD and moral injury.
