Kada enjoys working with children, teenagers and adults. Kada graduated with her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from The University of Florida. She genuinely cares for her clients and puts a lot of time and effort into making sure they are getting the help that they need. She takes a trauma-informed approach and uses attachment-based theory in her practice. She also utilizes CBT, Person-Centered and Mindfulness Based Interventions. When working with children, she loves using Play Therapy Techniques as play is a child’s primary form of communication and processing.

Hello, I'm Annette Bushfield! Since 2007, I've worked with clients who have had minor to severe mental health issues. I have also helped many clients to reach their goals of reduction or secession of self-injury. I've worked with teens, soldiers in psychiatric units, prisoners, and residents of nursing homes. I've also trained counselors on how to work with prisoners who have experienced trauma, severe and persistent mental illness, and psychosis. I am most comfortable working 1:1 with clients who desire to see results from their efforts.

My clients are as eclectic as my treatment approach. No two people are alike. As a result, treatment goals vary with each individual person. My clients are not in crisis. They are high functioning individuals (ages 4-104) that are experiencing some sort of stressor in their lives. Life is full of unpredictable events including but not limited to separation, divorce, relationship issues, narcissistic abuse, loss of any kind, career changes, family issues, depression, changes in children's behavior, parenting, single parenting, recent diagnosis of mental health/ health condition, anxiety, fear, hurt and depression.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and am competent and experienced in providing comprehensive neuropsychological assessment services and psychological assessment services to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I also have extensive experience treating a broad range of issues/conditions and have been trained in EMDR via a didactic program and supervised practicum. I am an EMDRIA approved EMDR clinician and was trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy via an externship and intensive Core Skills training sessions.
