My practice is called My School Psychologist, Inc. and it is a company founded with the premise that our society has a profound impact on our youth's intellectual, behavioral, emotional, and psychologi​cal development. This practice was conceived in hopes of fostering the inspiration and motivation back into the community and youth through affordable and thorough psychological services.

My practice provides treatment for individuals, families, couples, adolescents, and children. I have extensive experience treating people of diverse cultures and ethnic groups, divorce and all types of relationship issues. I am a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator. Susi Blitman is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, who earned her Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 2007. Blitman counts on over 12 years of experience helping clients overcome their struggles, improve their lives and the lives of their families. As a mother of two, Blitman has a special interest in helping families, children, and teens with difficult behaviors, self-esteem issues, ADHD, depression, and academic performance issues. Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Blitman is trilingual speaking English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

I have vast individual psychotherapy experience working with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, addictions, anger management, stress management, goal setting, trauma and life transitions. A quote from Buddhist scholar that I love is by B. Alan Wallace, he states, "We're living in a world that contributes in a major way to mental fragmentation, disintegration, distraction and incoherence". With being trained in Wellness, Burnout Prevention & Mindfulness Strategies, I believes that a willingness to experience psychological events (thoughts, feelings, memories) without having to avoid them or let them unduly influence behavior is to obtain true psychological acceptance.

Our ideal client is the one that feels as if they've tried everything, They've knocked on all the doors with no response. The lost, the depressed, the hurting. Regardless of your issue at the heart of it is pain. That's the focus for our practice. Having experiences dealing with Mood and Behavioral disorders, Mental and Developmental Disabilities, Substance and Dual Diagnosis disorders and Relational there shouldn't be any area we're not equipped to address.

Trauma hides behind our problems preventing us from having successful, stress free lives. Trauma hides behind anxiety, depression, PTSD, conflict, addiction, stress, anger, relationship issues, emotional problems, negative thinking and mental health symptoms. At its core it's an ancient defense system that helped you survive whatever difficult experience you were having or are having. It's a central nervous system that chose to protect you, that chose to survive, only you can't access that stuck material alone, and that lack of access, leads to all the symptoms of trauma you might be experiencing.
