"Relax as it is."-Pema Chodron. It's a beautifully simple phrase yet it requires two powerful features: letting go and acceptance. Our life shapes the stories we tell ourselves and so often these stories foster feelings of anxiety, sadness, frustration, anger and blame (of ourselves and of those close to us). The changes that life always bestow on us are often unwelcome triggers causing us to notice how these ways of thinking can negatively impact our overall well-being. By taking the opportunity to look at ourselves in an honest and gentle way we create new pathways to accept and let go.
My specialty and keen interest is working with individuals who are embarking on a journey of self discovery. People who have made the brave decision to explore their old patterns that no longer feel right but continue to play out over and over again.
I am a licensed clinical social worker in Connecticut with a background in individual and family therapy. I am fully engaged and client centered. I approach all clients with genuine respect and concern, always remaining fully present and committed. I have an extensive background working with adolescents and families.
