I came to this field when I began my recovery 15 years ago, feeling that my lived experience would be greatly beneficial for others struggling to find new ways of being. I believe we all want to be our best selves, and have the capacity for real change. It is my honor to support and facilitate that process, working in genuine collaboration with my clients, and to offer unconditional respect and compassion through the transformation. I began my career as an addiction counselor, and that work remains a passion. Through my career in outpatient community mental health clinics at UCSF, Berkeley Mental Health, and elsewhere, I've developed expertise helping people to manage and recover from mood and anxiety disorders, personality and thought disorders, and many behavioral issues.
I have supported clients of incredibly diverse racial, ethnic, and gender backgrounds, ages 16-78. I have broad and deep experience treating all sorts of mental illness.
