Why Play Therapy? This is a frequently asked question. I believe that through play, children express themselves in their own developmentally appropriate way. Through play and other expressive therapies, children can resolve problems, cope with difficult emotions,improve cognitive development and help resolve inner conflicts. Although I work mainly with children, my education and training also allow me the opportunity to work with adults on certain issues.

It takes such courage to open ourselves to the possibility of healing when we have been hurt. But the fullness of life that grows out of engaging in the healing process is something I continue to experience personally in my own life and professionally with my clients. While we receive our deepest wounds in relationships, it is in relationships that we can also experience the deepest healing. Some of the bravest people I have ever met are the individuals I sit with in the counseling office, and I commend you for starting the process by looking for a counselor.

For over twenty years, I've been practicing psychotherapy in both outpatient and inpatient settings. I began my career working with complex psychiatric cases. I have since evolved my practice to include a focus on wellness and prevention. I work with individuals, couples, and families, utilizing evidence-based treatment techniques that are tailored to each person's unique needs.

Holli formulates custom botanical extracts, teas and powders from the apothecary to serve as a supporting bridge as clients make progress. Holli provides trauma-informed therapy for the stress caused by little "t" traumas and big "T" traumas through a variety of modalities.
