My name is Katie Rasch, and as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, I truly believe the first step in healing is to feel seen and heard. At the Root Counseling aims to explore the underlying “roots” that are contributing to your overall challenges. I believe the mind and body are incredibly intertwined. With me as your counselor, my hope is that all areas of your life will improve alongside your mental healing. Through the therapeutic relationship, we will work together in a safe and supportive space to reach the goals you long for.
As a trauma trained therapist, I view situations through an attachment focused lens, recognizing the effects of attachment wounds in everyday life. I am trained in EMDR, ACT, DBT, IFS, Polyvagal theory, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and more. As your therapist, I pull from a variety of these therapeutic interventions to cater to your individual needs.
I am a person-centered therapist, offering validation, empathy, and encouragement throughout your journey. Vulnerability is scary and so brave.
