Christine Knight is an Internal Family Systems practitioner trained by the IFS Institute and currently enrolled in Level 2 Intimacy From The Inside Out (IFIO) training & a clinical hypnotherapist dedicated to helping people reconnect back to the disconnected parts of themselves to bring healing, peace, and abundance into their lives. Christine has taken the "scenic route" in her own healing journey from complex childhood developmental trauma over the past two decades and now brings all her experience and education in clinical hypnotherapy and mental health counseling to help you navigate your journey towards healing and wholeness.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years experience providing psychotherapy to adolescents. My training includes a postdoctoral degree and 3 years on staff at the Stanford University School of Medicine Division of Child/Adolescent Psychiatry, staff at the Adolescent Pavilion (inpatient care) at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, milieu therapist on the child psychiatric inpatient unit at Children's Hospital Chicago, and 15+ years in private practice in California & SC with a focus on cognitive-behavioral treatment of adolescents ages 11-22. I focus exclusively on this age group and enjoy addressing the unique psychological issues of this stage of development.

My ideal client consists of anyone who is struggling with their mental health. I enjoy supporting people in all life stages and transitions, and primarily work alongside parents who are encountering challenges with anxiety, depression, and PMADs. Even though perinatal and maternal mental health is a large focus of mine, I also enjoy working alongside others who do not identify as parents.

I believe in the innate capacity of human beings to find their own answers, and I see my role as helping to facilitate that process. I enjoy helping people find their own strengths and develop and fine tune their growth. My style is fundamentally humanistic, and I believe that encouragement is at the root of growth and healing. Helping clients to recognize patterns in their lives can also be beneficial. My background in rehabilitation counseling has enabled me to work with adults with a wide variety of disabilities. My interest in psychology was first sparked by my early career in nursing. It was during this time that I came to witness how both physical wellness and suffering are related to emotional well-being. Seeing my son struggle with ADHD was difficult. As an Education Therapist and Special Educator, I wanted to have alternatives to prescription medication for his lack of focus and attention.
