I've always been a "people person" but started work in the field of technology. When laid off after 20 years, I saw it as a blessing in disguise, went back to school, and received my Masters of Social Work. I bring a sense of enthusiasm and energy which combined with some of the wisdom I've gained in life help me provide a high quality service to a diverse range of clients. Sessions are specific to each client's needs and can include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Mindfulness, relaxation techniques and other approaches.

Throughout the years of working with my clients, I have been moved and inspired by their persistence and dedication to build a better life for themselves despite insurmountable challenges that they often face and have overcome. I work closely with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, and interpersonal skills, as well as those who are struggling with OCD. I also work with parents who want to learn strategies to enhance their children's positive behavior. I have also worked as a school psychologist for over a decade, and work closely with children, their parents and schools on developing emotional regulation skills.

I have dedicated my career to making a positive impact on the lives of children, adolescents, adults, and their families. Through my diverse work experience, first as a special education teacher and now as psychotherapist I have witnessed first hand the struggles of families and individuals of all ages, facing a wide array of issues including, among others, depression, anxiety, ADHD and substance abuse. I work in a private practice, known as Image Therapy Services. Image Therapy Services provides psychotherapy to teens, young adults, couples, and families. We address developmental disabilities, depression, anxiety, and addiction. Our goal is to restore a balance to improve self-image and functioning. I also work as the Assistant Director for the Bridges to Adelphi Program, which is a program at Adelphi University that provides Academic, Social, and Vocational Services to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, or other nonverbal learning disorders.

My passion is to work with autistic and neurodivergent individuals. Living as a neurodivergent individual, it’s frustrating how often the systems that autistic and neurodivergent people interact with are not trained in working with folks like us. After being diagnosed with ADHD, I made it a priority to learn more about neurodivergent conditions to contextualize my own experiences, and better help others like me.
