Welcome to First Children! We are a multi-site psychological, counseling, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) center serving children, adolescents, and young adults with autism and their families. At our STRIVE centers, we provide comprehensive autism services to our clients, including early screening and diagnostic testing (using the ADOS-2), ABA, behavioral parent training, and individual and group counseling. Our services also include sibling support groups, family counseling, social skills groups, and school consultation.

Family Therapy & Consultation Services provides individual therapy, family therapy, marriage counseling, art therapy and medication management at our NJ offices in Woodbury, Audubon, & Moorestown. Our mission is to strengthen individuals and families to be full participants in the solution of problems that can be the result of family and community disruption, mental health issues, or life challenges. Our therapists can help assist youth, adults, couples, and families utilize their strengths to overcome emotional and behavioral challenges and allow participants to lead successful lives in their homes, schools, work, and communities.

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and families. Parents have questions about what they, and their child, are going through. I am able to provide answers through psychoeducation and years of experience. Children with behavior issues in school or at home or adolescents with new behaviors and problems with grades or social issues. These are the families I get to help through very stressful times. Improving the quality and functioning of individuals and families through improved communication, learning parenting techniques, advocacy, and providing CBT to help with anxiety, depression, and/or behavior and educational problems.

I believe that the therapeutic process is a valuable vehicle for positive change in a client's life. I help children, adolescents and adults find relief from depression, anxiety, and anger and develop coping skills to deal with the many stressors that life presents.

I specialize in Anxiety and Depression Disorders, trauma, PTSD, Sexual abuse issues, ADD/ADHD, RAD (attachment disorders), oppositional defiance, parenting needs, personality disorders and bi-polar disorder. I have additional trainings in these areas and use evidenced-based techniques to help you overcome/manage these issues and live a life that you desire. I work with children, teens, adults, couples, families and the elderly. I am an LCSW with over 25 years of experience.

I have been working in the field of psychology since 1995 and have vast experience working with clients of all ages and with challenging issues. I believe that the key to successful therapy begins with an empathetic and sincere relationship between the client and therapist. My approach is somewhat eclectic, meaning I tailor my approach to meet the needs of my clients. I employ a biopsychosocial model coupled with psychoeducation, humor and cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal therapy as a foundation. As a former Division I athlete, I am sensitive to the challenges athletes face and also practice sports psychology.

​Chad is a NJ & PA licensed clinical social worker who graduated with his master’s degree in Social Work from Widener University. In addition to being in group practice, he is currently an IIC therapist. Over the course of his career, he has worked in various levels of care and settings within the healthcare system. Chad has had the opportunity to work with clients with a wide range of mental health issues and from many unique and diverse backgrounds.
