My goal is to assist you in this process by providing a warm and empathetic environment in which you are able to discuss, explore, and decide the direction you would like to take. I’ve been helping kids and families find peace and wellness for years as a school counselor and, now, as a therapist. Each child is an extraordinary individual. I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) and a registered play therapist (RPT). While I still work with children and adolescents, I have also expanded my practice to work with more adults. I believe the foundation of counseling is building a trusting relationship with my clients and making them feel at ease. I approach therapy as an interactive process and I enjoy working collaboratively with clients and utilizing methods that best fit each individual's needs.

Through our services, we work with children and adolescents (ages 3 through 18) with various emotional, educational, developmental, and behavioral challenges. We also work with adults with various psychological, interpersonal, and "life related" struggles. As part of our comprehensive assessment process, we provide an objective assessment of your presenting issues.

I have been working in the counseling profession for over 16 years. My area of expertise is People With Disability, children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups. In my work, I utilize an eclectic style of counseling; continuing this further, I do exclusively support family system therapy, person centered and solution focus therapy. I believe that family interactions and communication patterns are important to understanding current issues. I look at evidence-based approaches as tools to help you reach your goals with the intentions of long-term growth and change.

I have seen firsthand how families can have a profound impact on their neurodiverse child's growth and development, and how that child can have a profound impact on their families. I believe in taking a holistic approach collaborating with both children and their families across different therapeutic methods to support and upliftthe lives of everyone in the family.

Imagine that when you are doing this I don’t run away or trivialize what is giving you trouble or how you hurt. Instead, I sit with you – sometimes over and over. My services are offered to a variety of age groups from 6 - 65. The ideal client is one that is open to services and in need of support identifying their specific challenges and overcoming them.

I aim to create a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship while my clients work toward wholeness where they feel wounded. Symptoms of anxiety or depression often usher us into difficult life change that can eventually lead toward improved emotional health. I work from an eclectic theoretical orientation using attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, Narrative-Focused Trauma Care, and faith if clients desire. I utilize Strengths-Based theory with teens, which is an evidence-based approach to suicide prevention. I specialize in teens and work well with high-performing women who struggle with anxiety.

I love working with people who feel stuck, and who want to understand, embrace, and maximize their potential. Many of the people I work with have been frustrated with traditional talk therapy, and want a way through their depression, anxiety and trauma that is efficient and effective. Using tools like energy psychotherapy, neurofeedback, and Human Design, I help people to understand who they really are and who've they've been conditioned to be; these approaches and tools provide a road map back to the joy of their true nature.
