Greetings and thanks for taking the time to visit my profile. I have many years of experience working in the Human Services field. I have counseled individuals with developmental disabilities and those without. Specifically, with goal planning, vocational counseling, job development and disability management. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (since 1996) I have a Masters of Arts degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Michigan State University. I retired in 2015 after 21 years as Senior Vocational Counselor at Community Mental Health here in Lansing, Michigan.

I am a master level clinical therapist. I have 30 years experience working with adults, kids, teens and families with a wide range of concerns. I specialize in all kinds trauma, but have experience with a wide variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and family relationships. I also have 15 years experience working with kids on the Autism Spectrum and/or coaching their parents. In addition, I have worked extensively with foster care and adoption.

I have been in private clinical practice for 22 years. I have specifically trained to work with children, adolescents, young adults and older adults. My time is spent fairly equally working with mental health and substance abuse issues. Likewise, I have chosen to not focus on one specific age group, finding it to be more satisfying to see various aged people. I spend the most time with young adults, from ages of 16-26. I enjoy working with couples; though challenging, I can often offer a safe place for them to listen to one another.

As of 3/16/20 teletherapy is offered to promote public health safety. I provide psychotherapy and evaluation services for clients of all ages with cognitive, psychological, developmental, learning and neurobehavioral disorders and needs. I am a registered nurse (in NYS) as well as a licenced psychologist (in NY and MI) with years of experience and welcome clients with serious, chronic and complex health conditions. I completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psycholgy from Columbia University, an Internship and Fellowship at Cornell University Medical College.
