If you choose video counseling, I find it to be equally effective as face-to-face sessions.

Each person is different. I provide individualized and flexible counseling services to meet your needs. For the past 20 years, I have worked with an array of people, individuals, couples, families, and groups in a variety of settings, both clinical and community based. My vast experience has helped me develop an effective system to help improve person’s lives. I am mostly a non-directive, “person centered” humanistic therapist. Candase Martel is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Louisiana. She has a B.A. from University of Louisiana in Lafayette, Louisiana and a Master's Degree in Counseling from the McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, as well as hundreds of hours of continuing education. Candase is a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association. Candase is a supervisor for provisional licensed professional counselors and is a family and divorce mediator. Candase has years of experience as an expert witness in custody cases. She has over 12 years experience as an educator, school counselor, and therapist interacting with all families.

I have experience working with clients of ages 7 and up and provide counseling to couples, individuals, and families experiencing relationship difficulties, grief, loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, phase of life problems, anger, and those seeking better ways to handle life's difficulties. I work with motivated clients who are looking to change their current situations and improve the quality of their life.

Gestalt therapists work on helping to reprogram self-sabotaging patterns and belief systems.
