I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who views therapy as a partnership built upon mutual trust. I pride myself on creating a calm, safe, and non-judgmental environment to help clients feel at ease. My goal is to empower each individual towards change.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I use a strengths based approach and have worked with clients of all ages. My specialties include behavioral disorders, substance use, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I have also worked with clients that have experienced trauma ranging from physical and sexual abuse, assault, and experiencing and witnessing violence and negligence. I do not believe there is a one size fits all approach to therapy and believe that every client is the expert on themselves.

I have been providing psychological and behavioral services in the Chicagoland and Grand Rapids, Michigan area for the last 14 years. In session I am empathetic and positive, working collaboratively with each client, in overcoming life challenges. Due to the vast amount of experience I have gained in both psychotherapy as well as behavioral modification, my therapeutic approach is diverse and can be non-directive, guiding the client at their own pace, or directive in nature. Dr. Chinni Chilamkurti is a licensed, pediatric psychologist with over 25 years of experience providing comprehensive behavioral health services for children and families. She specializes in working with children and families presenting with a wide range of challenges. Her specialty areas include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD), Anxiety Disorder, Parenting and Co-Parenting. Her approach is pragmatic and collaborative. She firmly believes that resources aimed at enhancing children's emotional and behavioral resiliency are critical to help children succeed.
