I am a clinical psychologist with over 25 years' experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. Many of my clients have more than one psychological issue, such as Depression/Mood issues, ADHD, Anxiety, OCD, PTSD, Tourette's, Social Skill deficits, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, and Relationship difficulties.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). With a specialty in working with adults with Asperger's Syndrome, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help my clients learn to cope with the symptoms of depression and anxiety that often accompany Asperger's. I also work with individuals of all ages seeking to increase their daily living skills. Additionally, I am available to work with parents who are struggling with their child's challenging behaviors.

I work collaboratively with clients, finding the next best step for them to take to handle challenges and roadblocks in life. I get great satisfaction watching my clients improve their life through short or long-term therapy. I help children and adolescents reach their academic/social potential with the parents' support. I advocate for students with navigation of EiP’s/504’s and RTI. Other areas of expertise include grief/loss, stress, anxiety, self-esteem and relationship issues for children, teens and adults. I teach social skills to those dealing with Asperger's Syndrome and work with youth at risk for sexual exploitation.

Their families are an integral part of that healing. Seven years of experience working with children with severe autism, developmental disabilities and emotional behavioral disabilities in the public school system in the most restrictive environment. I offer support, guidance, behavioral solutions, intervention strategies in the classroom and home. Supervision for other professionals for obtaining their licensure. I completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychology, am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Doctoral, and licensed clinical psychologist. I have served on the Board of the Assoc. for Science in Autism Treatment and on the APA Task Force on Empirically Validated Treatments. I have published on a variety of topics and have taught at Argosy, Auburn, and Georgia State Universities. I have conducted IEE evaluations for 40+ school districts and families.

I work with children and teens experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and adjustment difficulties as they navigate through life. My therapeutic approach includes Play Therapy, CBT, ABA, Strength-Based, and Mindfulness to address educational, social, behavioral and psychological concerns. Together, we will build a safe, empathetic environment where healing and personal growth can take place.

I work best with individuals experiencing complications associated with adoption, ADHD, and/or ASD diagnosis. These present as anxiety, trouble establishing a sense of identity, depression, lack/trouble maintaining motivation, difficulty sustaining/developing interpersonal relationships, familial conflict, poor academic performance, and underdeveloped communication skills. I help my clients understand how their brains are affected and how it can translate to their behaviors and perceptions of the world. I provide a space in session for clients to practice new skills so they feel better prepared for application.
