I am a clinical psychologist with over 25 years' experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. Many of my clients have more than one psychological issue, such as Depression/Mood issues, ADHD, Anxiety, OCD, PTSD, Tourette's, Social Skill deficits, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, and Relationship difficulties.

I work collaboratively with clients, finding the next best step for them to take to handle challenges and roadblocks in life. I get great satisfaction watching my clients improve their life through short or long-term therapy. I help children and adolescents reach their academic/social potential with the parents' support. I advocate for students with navigation of EiP’s/504’s and RTI. Other areas of expertise include grief/loss, stress, anxiety, self-esteem and relationship issues for children, teens and adults. I teach social skills to those dealing with Asperger's Syndrome and work with youth at risk for sexual exploitation.

My goal is to gain a thorough understanding of strengths and challenges, in order to provide diagnostic clarity as well as appropriate recommendations so that you can reach your full potential. I see the assessment process as therapeutic in nature. I specialize in assisting neurodivergent youths and adults as they navigate their unique experiences and learn to integrate into society. While I work with children, I believe in the power of working specifically with parents as individuals as they work on the many layers of their identity and their own unique challenges that often go overlooked. Those grappling with self-judgement and doubt, people pleasing tendencies, emotional regulation challenges, and interpersonal difficulties often find a safe space. I extend a warm welcome to them while equipping them with techniques and coping skills to promote self-efficacy and confidence.

I work with people who are looking to understand what they’re struggling with so that they can live a more fulfilling and satisfying life. Together we’ll try to understand the issue that brought you to therapy, and other issues that may come to the surface along the way. With insight often comes the knowledge of what you would like to be different, or how to best manage the circumstances you’re facing.

My therapeutic philosophy is based on the quote from Albert Einstein, “Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” Many people let false beliefs about themselves hold them back from reaching self-actualization. Everyone deserves to reach the realization or fulfillment of one's talents and potentialities, but sometimes we find ourselves as the fish Einstein describes attempting to climb a tree because we let anxiety, depression, and past trauma become barriers to our fulfillment.

I work primarily with children, teens, and young adults experiencing stress and anxiety, executive functioning deficits, identity confusion, mood disorders, grief and loss, and life adjustment challenges (i.e. separation/divorce). By providing a safe, non-judgmental environment, clients can effectively express, explore, and process their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I believe every client is equipped with a unique set of strengths and skills that can help them overcome adversity. By helping clients rework negative perceptions of events in their lives or of themselves, clients can move to a more regulated state.

I also have extensive (10 years +) experience in IMEs and disability review. Board Certified in Brain Injury by the American Academy for Certification of Brain Injury Specialists (AACBIS). My goal is to serve those who struggle with Trauma, Personality Disorders, Depression, Anxiety, and other Emotional Disorders. I believe trauma whether one time incident or ongoing incidents can be the root cause to other mental health issues. That is why my treatment plans are unique to each individual and their specific issues and circumstances. My philosophy is that anyone can overcome anything, with the right help.

Many in today's world are looking for answers to difficult questions. They want to know how to handle the problems they face within their marriages and with their children. Marriages are falling apart because couples lack the skill to communicate their deepest needs. Parents and their children fall into a similar trap and are losing their connections to one another. I have a passion for helping teenagers and adults who struggle with Anxiety, Depression, and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD;) as well as families whom have been affected by substance use.
