Amanda Bolduc is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in several different treatment settings with clients. She has experience working with families, adults and kids of all ages in a variety of settings including schools, outpatient care and in-home services. She will be providing services to clients for outpatient sessions as well as students within Region 16 Schools. Amanda has years of experience providing clinical services to students in a school setting and specifically enjoys working with adolescents.

Derio Rivera is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. He received his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University in 2019. He worked in residential therapeutic programs in NY with at-risk youth, in an educational program that focused on learning disabilities and completed his graduate clinical hours at a state agency in CT.

I have over 12 years of clinical experience, which has been in both outpatient and in home settings working with a wide range of clients in the greater Waterbury area. I have experience with children, adolescents and adults of all ages, who present with a variety of mental health disorders such as Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Conduct Disorders, Substance Use and Co-occuring Disorders. I have also worked with children and adults involved in the court system and have experience working with families who have DCF involvement.

I have multiple speciality areas including, abuse, addiction, codependency, trauma, behavioral need and co-occurring disorders. I utilize treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused, solution focused brief therapy, DBT and motivational interviewing. In addition, I have also trained as a circle of security facilitator in both Spanish and English. My main focus is to utilize all my training and professional experience to provide you with safe opportunities to discover your strengths in a way that's personal and effective to you and your needs.

During the past 20 years I have been committed to both repairing and preventing emotional harm. Specifically, I have worked with many children and teens experiencing self destructive, and/or underperformance behaviors. Dr. Avon attended Stony brook U. There she trained under the late Dr. Edward Carr in Behavioral Therapy, with a focus on, Applied Behavioral Analysis. She then continued her education at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where she received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. There she spent many years under the supervision of Dr. Charles Golden refining her skills in Neuropsychology serving a variety of children with learning disorders and developmental disabilities. After completing graduate school, Dr. Avon pursued further training in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorders and other Developmental Disabilities.
