My philosophy of counseling is that every human soul is unique and their experiences shape their view of the world. The process of individuation is essential in order for a person to become whole and fully developed as his, her, or their 'true self.' I believe empathy, collaboration and validation are key to the counseling relationship. The person as NOT the problem, rather, the problem is the problem. In the counseling relationship we will focus on strengths and mindfully and collaboratively awaken awareness of the authentic self to free clients of negative learned beliefs. The goal is for you to have a satisfactory life.

The focus of our practice, is to assist adults, children, and families with obtaining relatable therapy, to reach goals. We assess situations in your life which contribute to current emotions behaviors and thought patterns. With child and adolescent clients our focus is similar, with the addition of close communication with the family. Moreover, with child and adolescents, we will focus on depression, impulsive behavior, limited attention span, oppositional/defiant behaviors, dishonesty, and social issues in school/home. Family and/or friends are welcome in your sessions for support. We do offer 430p-630p, and weekend appointments.

Moore, Ph.D., MAED., LMFT is a Clinical Professor, Associate Director for Clinical Training and Supervision in a Masters program in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Georgia, Alabama, NY, IL, and credentialed for telehealth in Florida. Dr. Moore utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach when working with clients.
