Hello, my name is Benjamin Menard. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker beginning my private practice in Spokane. My specialty is non-directive play therapy for children ages 4 – 12. I use this client-centered approach with the theory that children use their play to communicate more effectively than language and typical talk therapy. I see play therapy as a way to meet children where they are and learn from them about their world.

I have been practicing for over 25 years. I have had the privilege to positively treat patients in a variety of settings including churches, hospitals, schools, and agencies. I am trained in EMDR therapy to help reduce the effects of trauma. My experience is varied across age spans as well in diverse populations both culturally and economically.
