Therapy is a safe place to explore challenges in our lives & find strengths that we never knew we had. It has the potential to lift us out of our rut so that we can finally make the changes we've longed for. Whether you are working to decrease your anxiety, unmasking and living authentically, changing careers, exploring your gender or sexual identity, or trying to change your relationships, therapy can be a great place to get a fresh perspective & face these challenges with a champion by your side. My own identity as a multiracial, queer, gender nonconforming therapist enables me to understand clients who feel like outsiders.
I have a passion for helping clients reduce anxiety, stress, confusion, sadness, and pain - so that they can live more fulfilling/happy lives. Many of my clients have stated that coming to therapy has helped to catapult them out of their stagnation - enabling them to reach their full potential. I enjoy helping clients explore their intersecting identities.
As a university professor who has extensive training in psychology, personality, & mental health, I'm highly skilled in understanding human behavior. We each have a rich history of experiences that make us who we are and various minority identities can intersect to both enrich and complicate our lives.
