I am a licensed professional counselor and wellness consultant with 20+ years of professional experience in the areas of higher education, holistic mental health, and wellness. I have experience working with individuals and couples of diverse backgrounds in various populations with mental health/wellness issues toward their goal of healing and wellness.
I feel that as a helper in your journey toward wellness, you set your own goals. My approach is to take into account the entire person, because your thoughts cannot operate separate from your feelings. To feel balanced, it is important that the head and the heart work together in harmony.
In approaching the therapeutic process I take a unique approach with how much time is scheduled for a session and believe that sometimes it may take more than a 50 minute hour. In scheduling short intensive therapy sessions you have the ability to really get into the work and can have more time in between sessions. These sessions may be 1 - 3+ hours.
